01Who we are
class.apexnexus.sg (the “Site”) is the training portal of ApexNexus Training Centre, Singapore (“ApexNexus”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you browse the Site, enrol in a course or sign in to the Student Classroom, and how we use and protect it.
We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
02Information we collect
When you browse the Site
- Standard technical data processed by our hosting providers (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
When you enrol or contact us
- Details you submit through our enrolment forms or messages - such as your name, email address, phone number and course selection.
- Payment confirmations you send us. We do not store card numbers on the Site.
When you sign in with Google (Student Classroom)
- Basic profile: your Google account name, email address and profile picture.
- Learning progress: which lessons and materials you open and mark as done in the Student Classroom, with the time of your last visit, so you can pick up where you left off and your instructor can follow your progress.
03How we use your information
- To show you the courses you are registered for, their lessons and materials, and your progress.
- To process course enrolments, confirm payments and communicate class schedules and updates.
- To secure the Site, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
04Google user data
Google is used only to sign you in. When you continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We do not ask for access to Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendar, and we do not store Google access tokens.
Course content in the Student Classroom is published by ApexNexus and stored in our own database. Your email address decides which courses you can open: ApexNexus keeps a list of registered student emails for each course.
ApexNexus’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Google user data is used only to provide the Student Classroom features you see.
- It is not transferred to third parties except as needed to run the Site (our hosting and database providers), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice.
- It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never read by humans unless you ask us for help, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
- It is not used to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
05Google permissions we request
When you sign in to the Student Classroom, Google asks you to share only your basic profile:
- Email, profile and OpenID (
openid,userinfo.email,userinfo.profile) - to sign you in, check which courses your email is registered for, and show your name and picture.
We do not request any other Google permissions. We never post anything on your behalf, and we do not access your Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar.
08Retention & deletion
- Signing out of the Student Classroom ends your session. You are also signed out automatically after a period without activity.
- You can remove the Site’s sign-in access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Your learning progress is kept while you are enrolled so your record stays complete. Ask us to delete it at any time (below).
- Enrolment and payment records are kept only as long as needed for the course and for legal and accounting purposes.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email admin@apexnexus.sg. We will complete the request within 30 days.
09Security
All traffic to the Site is encrypted with HTTPS. Database access is restricted by row-level security, and administrative access is limited to authorised ApexNexus staff signing in with Google. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
10Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for its use. Contact us using the details below - we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11Children
Our courses are intended for adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed; significant changes will be announced on the Site.
